Park Players is one of the oldest community theatre organizations in the state. For over 50 years, "Players" has been producing musicals, comedies, dramas, and children's shows. If you're looking to expand your horizons, have talents waiting to burst forth, or you're just looking for a few new friends, join the Players. Over 100 members strong, Players includes actors, stagehands, set designers, set constructors, costumers, musicians and theatre lovers. New members are always welcome.

SPRING PLAY

The spring play is traditionally a musical. Past productions have included "Little Shop of Horrors", "Annie", "Cabaret", and "Hello Dolly".

Audition dates are announced in January and play dates are in March or April - check the calendar.

SUMMER PLAY

Every effort to involve the younger actors in the community is evident in the summer play.

FALL PLAY

Usually a drama or comedy, past productions have included "Twelve Angry Men", "Plaza Suite" and "The Foreigner". Auditions are in September and the play opens in November.

CHRISTMAS PLAY

One of the children's favorite activities, here's where our budding thespians get their first break. Anyone who tries out gets a part. It's sort of the "School Play" for North Rosedale. Invite the grandparents and bring the cameras. The Christmas Play is a joint project with the Civic Association and is presented at the December General Meeting.

Park Players evolved from the Civic Association's Entertainment Committee. The earliest formal productions were variety shows beginning in 1948. Since then, over 100 full scale productions have been presented at the Community House in addition to dozens of smaller skits and children's productions.

In 1961, the east addition was built on the Community House, mainly to accommodate the ever increasing complexity of Player's production equipment.
